This academic project focused on creating a conceptual one-page portfolio website for a fictional artist whose work centers around floral sculptures and installations. The goal was to develop a strong and coherent visual identity that could reflect the artist’s ethereal, nature-inspired practice while maintaining a modern and engaging user experience.
I chose to pair a psychedelic-style typeface with a minimalist, editorial layout. This intentional contrast creates a dynamic tension between expressive and restrained elements, mirroring the delicate balance between nature and structure often found in installation art. The design is further enriched by a soft yet distinctive color palette, combining muted pastels with floral accents to evoke a dreamy, organic atmosphere.
The branding includes two versions of the logo:
-
A monochrome version, using black and white for a timeless, professional look—ideal for printed materials or subtle applications.
-
A floral variant, in which the psychedelic font is filled with a photographic texture of pink flowers, emphasizing the artist’s botanical focus and adding a tactile, emotional layer to the identity.
Through this project, I explored the intersection of visual storytelling, typography, and UX design. It reflects my ability to craft design systems that are both visually compelling and conceptually grounded.
